Dr Andrew Zischke is a graduate from the University of Queensland where he completed his Bachelor of Dental Science with first class honours. Dr Zischke has completed a large myriad of postgraduate seminars and courses bothin Australia and Overseas. With his high level of experience and dedication in the field of general, cosmetic and implant dentistry, Dr Zischke is passionate about helping you achieve a beautiful, healthy smile.

Outside of dentistry Dr Zischke has a passion for music – in particular the cello. Andrew regularly likes to perform at recitals and with orchestras when he can. For example he is a member of the Australian Doctors Orchestra that performs annually.

All the money raised from Andrew’s recitals has been donated to The Cancer Council, Mater Children’s Hospital Foundation and ShelterBox Australia (an initiative of Rotary) – feel free to ask Andrew any time about these charities. When time allows Dr Zischke likes to spend time outdoors. In particular he likes to keep fit by running and riding. Andrew has travelled to India twice with an Australia voluntary humanitarian aide organization, Equal Health, to provide dental service in remote villages.

Dr Jelena Vlacic graduated with her Bachelor of Dental Science from The University of Queensland with first class honours. Jelena has since been working in private practice in Brisbane.

While working Jelena concurrently undertook PhD studies with The University of Queensland. She was the recipient of the highly respected National Health and Medical Research Council (NH&MRC) Postgraduate Scholarship and was awarded her Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in early 2007 following outstanding international reviews. Her work has been published in the Australian Dental Journal, British Dental Journal, Journal of Oral Laser Applications as well as Book chapters and presented at international and national conferences.

In addition to her above commitments Jelena has also taught students at the University of Queensland and has recently commenced a Post-Doctoral research position, in the field of Dental Implants, with the Centre for Medicine and Oral Health, Griffith University. Jelena is very passionate about her dentistry and offers the very best of care to her patients. All patients and especially children enjoy coming to see Jelena.

Outside of dentistry Jelena has a love for languages – she is fluent in two and is at present learning her third language. Together with her husband, Dr Andrew Zischke, Jelena loves to spend time in the company of her family.
